Ways to Give
The Chair gratefully accepts contributions in the form of funds, materials, and donated services.
Give to the Endowment
For its basic operation, the Chair depends on an Endowment fund from which the Chair receives its annual budget (a sum equal to 5 percent of the fund). At present, it is estimated that an additional 2.5 million dollars is needed to secure the Chair as a prominent and dynamic long-term program. Those who wish to contribute to the endowment should make checks payable to:
University System of Maryland Foundation, Inc. / Bahá'í Chair Endowment
Contribute to the Operational Account
Contributing to the operations of the Chair not only makes its activities possible, but also allows it to finance student research and host special events. With increasing capacity, the Chair can lend its support to activities in the developing world. Those who wish to contribute to operations should make checks payable to:
University System of Maryland Foundation, Inc. / Bahá'í Chair Operations
Support a Particular Activity
The Chair welcomes those with a particular interest to lend their support directly to any of its individual activities. To take advantage of this, contributors can earmark operational funds for the activity of their choosing. The Chair also welcomes grants and fee-for-service arrangements for particular activities that are in line with its own and the donors' agreed purposes.
Establish a Memoriam or Commemoration
Individuals may honor the memory of a particular person by so earmarking their contributions. Memorial contributions are noted in the Chair's Annual Report. Similarly, based upon common agreement, the Chair welcomes the creation of special and permanent endowments for particular activities in the name of the remembered party that are reflective both of the spirit of the remembered part and that of the Chair.
